Purpose of Position:
NEDCO and Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services (WNHS) are two nonprofit community development organizations that merged as of January 1, 2019. Together we serve six counties (Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion and Clackamas) across four offices. The Senior Grant Writer oversees execution of the annual grants plans for both NEDCO/WNHS and Community LendingWorks, from concept through writing, award and reporting. The Senior Grant Writer will conduct research and selection of prospective grantors, build relationships with key grant funders, schedule and coordinate with internal managers/staff and external stakeholders to collaboratively develop grant proposals, write grant applications, manage the grants calendar, report on funded grants and follow up with unfunded applications to obtain constructive feedback. The Senior Grant Writer will work closely with the management team and the accounting department, and must be able to juggle a wide variety of stakeholder personalities, deadlines, and program priorities.
Training: Training in grant writing, funder relationship development, program development, and other topics as necessary for high impact grant writing.
