The Head of Grants & Foundation Relations is a member of the Development team, which is primarily responsible for major, annual, capital, and planned giving to achieve overall fundraising goals, support growth strategy, and maximize donor engagement to support the mission of the Portland Art Museum.
The Head of Grants & Foundation Relations leads the Museum’s corporate, foundation, and government grants program to advance long-term engagement and investment at the Portland Art Museum. The role is responsible for the retention of current grants, acquisition of new grants, stewardship, reporting, and management of the grants portfolio. This role is hands-on and collaborates with multiple colleagues and departments within the Institution to achieve the goals set forth. This position requires a desire for deep collaboration and is exposed to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of integrity, discretion, and good judgement. The role reports to the Head of Donor Engagement.
Worth noting, the Head Grants & Foundation Relations is equivalent to a “Grants Manager” to outside Institutions; and this role currently has no direct reports. This position is full-time, exempt, working 40 hours per week. The salary range is $47,000-$50,000 annually. The position is eligible for the Museum’s benefits package first of the month following 30-days of full-time employment. Benefits include medical and dental, paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, jury duty, bereavement), long-term disability and AD&D, and a variety of perks such as free Museum admission, Gift Shop discounts, and screenings at the NW Film Center.
