In this Bilingual (Spanish) Office Assistant 2 position you will provide a variety of clerical support to the Elections Divisions team and public directly through customer service (in-person and on the phone), data entry, scanning, and verification of elections related documents. This position serves guests from our community. We depend on you to provide excellent customer service, using office equipment and helping to keep operations running smoothly. Multnomah County Elections Division conducts all local, city, county, state and federal elections for Multnomah County. Our mission is to uphold a reputation for transparent, accurate, accessible and accountable elections.
To be successful in this role, you must feel comfortable providing customer service in person, on the phone, and via email, as well as performing clerical duties in support of the Elections Division staff and the public. You embody professionalism and model our values to our guests and fellow employees.
You will take an equity focused approach to remove barriers to voter access and ensure every voice has the opportunity to be heard. You will have the opportunity to learn about equity and inclusion in public service work. You’ll be responsible for connecting internal and external patrons with the information they seek as well as delivering a variety of elections services. You will serve as interpreter for non-English speaking voters.

New employees and rehires will be paid at the minimum rate in the range for their classification unless a higher rate is approved by the Appointing Authority. Also a premium pay of 4% will be added due to the bilingual language knowledge, skill and ability.
