UCP Oregon is currently seeking an Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator who will work in our intellectual/developmental disabilities support services brokerage, which is known as UCP Connections. The Brokerage Team primarily consists of a Brokerage Director, Personal Agents, and an Assessment Quality Coordinator. Personal Agents support caseloads of approximately 39 adults, assisting them to achieve goals to promote independence and navigate the social support network.
As an Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator, you’ll lead, coordinate, and support advocacy, outreach, marketing, and special project efforts for the UCP Connections Team.
The Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator plays a central role in engaging customers in personal and community advocacy. The AOC will work with customers, team members, and community partners to create a support network to develop and educate customers in promoting their rights within the community. The AOC and the UCP Connections Team will engage customers in a variety of self-advocacy events and initiatives.
A successful candidate will be committed to the power of advocacy within the disability rights movement. They will be a self-starter and adept at collaborating with customers and a close-knit team that come from diverse backgrounds. This candidate will be a passionate advocacy leader and represent UCP’s progressive mission within the field of developmental disabilities.
